Brief Description
Large chambers that can be heated or cooled to simulate a range of operating environments.
Detailed Description
We have two temperature and humidity controlled rooms suitable for accurately measuring the thermal performance of heating and cooling systems and also capable of testing building façade elements of dimensions up to 2 m by 2 m. The chamber simulates a wide range of operating temperatures and enables the testing of complete systems. Temperatures range from -15°C to 50°C and humidities range from 0% to 100% RH.
Uses/applications
Our environmental chambers enables the evaluation of the thermal performance of heat pump, refrigeration and air conditioning systems as well as building fabric components. Usage requires academic oversight.
