The Energy Research Accelerator has appointed Dr Amanda Baxendale as its new Senior Business Development Manager.

Amanda, who was formerly Head of Research and Innovation Services at the University of Derby, where she was involved in business engagement, research commercialisation, knowledge exchange and place-based innovation.

Speaking about her appointment, Dr Helen Turner, Director of the Midlands Innovation partnership, which oversees ERA, said: “We are delighted to have Amanda in our team. She brings a wealth of experience which will be invaluable as we work to identify and develop new academic and business partnerships and funding opportunities in energy research and innovation.”

Amanda added: “I’m very excited to be joining the Midlands Innovation team and the Energy Research Accelerator (ERA). ERA is such a well-regarded initiative with a great track recording in building collaborative partnerships that highlight the Midlands and its knowledge base in energy as a national asset. I am looking forward to exploring future opportunities with the ERA partners and our wider network.”
